Found Sound Records in the Louis Vuitton Miami City Guide

Louis Vuitton Miami City Guide — green hardcover edition
The Louis Vuitton Miami City Guide. Available in print and through the Louis Vuitton app.

We're proud to share that Found Sound Records has been featured in the Louis Vuitton Miami City Guide — the only Miami record store selected to represent the city. As someone who was "Born & Raised in the County of Dade" (shoutout Jackson Memorial!), I'm super hyped to rep the 305.

Louis Vuitton's City Guides are a long-running tradition of curating the places that define a city's culture. Miami's edition is exclusive — available in a limited print run and through the Louis Vuitton app. They placed us in its "Arts & Culture" chapter alongside Miami institutions like Books & Books and Dale Zine. In their words, Found Sound offers "an array of rare (but often surprisingly affordable aka 'cheap heat') records," with a "particularly strong selection of jazz and vintage funk, which attracts hip-hop DJs and actual jazz musicians in equal numbers."

They also captured exactly what we set out to build: "a relaxed setting that feels more like a clubhouse than a retail spot." That was always the point — hence the iconic couch when you first walk through the door, which exudes a heavy "chill bro, have a seat and soak in the sounds" aura. That's us.

As my good friend Louie V once said, "You'll usually find owner Rafael Pichardo right on the premises, spinning a few of the newest discoveries and just as eager to talk vinyl as anyone who walks in." Not everyone, but you get the point.

To everyone digging through our bins for used vinyl and rare records in that unassuming strip mall in North Miami, a few blocks from MOCA — this recognition is yours as much as ours. Thank you, Miami.

Come see what Louis Vuitton sent everyone here for, before the gentrification spreads.
