Tampa Bay has one of the deepest record cultures in Florida, and it pulls in a lot of directions. Ybor City was built by Cuban and Spanish cigar workers in the 1880s, and that heritage left the whole area thick with Latin records — son, mambo, descarga and early salsa — the kind of thing collectors travel across the country to find. Across the bay in St. Pete, and up in Seminole Heights, there is a whole other world of jazz, soul, funk and indie rock. A lot of the best Bay-area collections were built by people who came up shopping at places like Vinyl Fever, the Tampa institution Rolling Stone once called one of the best record stores in the country before it closed in 2011. Those collections are out there now — and they are exactly what we make the drive for.
We are based in North Miami — about 280 miles and roughly four hours up I-75 across Alligator Alley — and we make that trip regularly for serious Tampa Bay collections. For 500 records or more we come to you, anywhere from Tampa and Brandon to St. Pete, Clearwater, Sarasota and up toward New Port Richey. We are a working independent record store, not a national buyer flying in for the weekend. We have been at it since 2019, we sell records every single day, and we pay fair prices because we know exactly what things are worth. Cash on the spot, same day, no pressure.
We buy across every genre, with a particular ear for what Tampa Bay does best: Latin and Afro-Cuban records out of the Ybor tradition, jazz, soul and funk, hip-hop, classic and Southern rock, reggae, world music, 45s, original pressings and promo copies. We are most interested in collections with a real point of view — built by someone who knew records.
Condition matters but it's not everything. A worn original pressing beats a mint reissue every time. Tell us what you have and we'll give you an honest assessment.

What kinds of records do you want in Tampa Bay?
Everything good, but especially Latin and Afro-Cuban from the Ybor tradition, jazz, soul, funk, hip-hop, classic and Southern rock, reggae and world music. Original pressings and well-kept collections move to the top of the list.
How soon can you come?
Usually within a week, and often sooner for larger collections. We lock in a time as soon as you reach out.
